Tenfold Awards – back for 2015!
The Tenfold Learning Disability Awards are back for 2015!
The Awards recognise and celebrate the amazing work that is done in Leeds to support and improve the lives of people with learning disabilities. The Awards were first held in 2013, and as the event was such a huge success the intention was set down to host the Awards as a bi-annual event.
Opportunity
The Awards provide an exciting opportunity for individuals and organisations, working in the field of learning disability in and around Leeds, to get involved and have their contributions acknowledged. They are open to everyone in Leeds, this includes Tenfold members; third sector organisations; the public, health and education sectors; and the private sector.
Sponsors
In 2013 sponsorship for the event was secured from White Rose and Trinity Leeds shopping centres, both managed by Land Securities, and from Morrish Solicitors LLP, a Leeds-based legal firm. With continued support for the Awards in 2015 from Morrish Solicitors and White Rose shopping centre. This is a fantastic endorsement of the success of the first event, and we hope to be able to secure even more sponsorship in order to support the sustainability of the event.
2015 event
The Awards ceremony this year will be held on Friday 12 June. The evening will include a drinks reception, three-course meal and of course the presentation to all the Award winners. The evening will mark the start of Leeds Learning Disability Week 2015, during which a wide range of events and activities will be held across Leeds raising awareness of learning disability.
Nominations
If you know someone who you think deserves recognition, then please think about making a nomination. Nominations are now open across six categories: Volunteer, Employee, Team, Making a Difference, Going the Extra Mile and Tenfold Member of the year.
To find out how to make a nomination please see details on the Awards pages of the website. The closing date for nominations is Monday 30 March, 9am.
