Local Sustainability Fund – Open

The Local Sustainability Fund has been launched by the Cabinet Office and Big Lottery.

Delivered by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of the Office for Civil Society, the Fund aims to help medium sized Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSE) organisations to secure a more sustainable way of working by providing funding and support to help them review and transform their operating models.

Grants of between £20 – 100k will be awarded to around 260 organisations. It is aimed at organisations with an annual turnover of between £100k – £1.5m with a strong track record, but which are experiencing some difficulty with sustainability and who work directly with vulnerable and/or disadvantaged people.

To apply, organisations first need to register and complete an online diagnostic by 26 July 2015.

The Local Sustainability Fund about encouraging VCSE organisations to think about their long term futures.
