Tenfold Members Network – April 2015
15 April 2015, Shine Business Centre | 10am - 12 noon
For this Tenfold members network we will be joined by:
- Sukhdev Dosanjh and Stuart Cameron Strickland from Leeds Adult Social Care
- Lisa Stones from Care and Repair
- Bernie Gahan from Leeds Mencap
Sukhdev, Director of Care Reform, Adult Social Care, will provide an overview of the new landscape of care, the changes coming into force in light of the new Care Act being rolled out and what this looks like in Leeds.
One of changes the Care Act makes is to place a responsibility on local authorities to provide good access to information and advice. Stuart, Head of Policy Performance & Improvement, Adult Social Care, is the lead on the new information and advice strategy for people with care or support needs, and will talk about the plans for Leeds. He will also tell us more about Care Opinion the independent website for people to share stories about their experiences of adult social care services.
Lisa from Care and Repair will explain new developments to the Leeds Directory and how they can help promote your services, including the Micro Tender Noticeboard, easy read star ratings forms and updated website. If you use Leeds Directory, it will also be a chance to give some feedback on the service.
Bernie from Leeds Mencap has an update on progress being made on their plans for a new building. Leeds Mencap is hoping to move from Londesboro Terrace to a more accessible new building, nearby, on the site of the former Mount Saint Mary’s Primary School at Raincliffe Road/York Road.
It is also, as usual, a chance to catch up with other Tenfold members and to share any news you have.
