Making a Difference
The Making a Difference Award is for a scheme, project or piece of work that has made a positive and real difference to people’s lives. It is not an award for individuals.
Nominations in this category could be about improvements in health, making people feel safer, developing skills and creating employment opportunities or supporting people to have friends and good social activities. Or it could be something else that you know about that has made a real difference! Above all, it must demonstrate a positive outcome for learning disabled people.
The 2013 winner said:
“Winning a Tenfold Award for our Relaxed Performances was a really special moment for the team at West Yorkshire Playhouse. The recognition and support from Tenfold was wonderful, and we were proud to be nominated alongside other respected organisations. Our award generated a lot of interest in the wider community and in the press, and we also had a wonderful time at the awards ceremony, which was a real celebration of the incredible learning disability sector in Leeds.”
